The museum's Bowerman Hall Collection offers a selection of diverse objects representing Ethiopia's material culture and history, from handicrafts to illustrated manuscripts to brass sculpted hand crosses. Consisting of nearly 100 objects, the collection was acquired through a generous gift by Jayne Bowerman Hall as a tribute to her husband William O. Hall, who served as U.S. Ambassador to Ethiopia from 1967 to 1971.
