10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Special Monday hours: Enjoy free admission in honor of Indigenous Peoples' Day! Come see the travelling exhibit Transgressors, which investigates the intersection between queer and Indigenous identities, presenting now and future Indigiqueer ancestors who move beyond boundaries in life and art. Celebrate 14,000 years of Native culture in Oregon—from the First Americans at Paisley Caves to the dynamic cultures of today's Tribes.

In 2021, Oregon became the eleventh state nationwide to officially observe Indigenous Peoples' Day. The federal government soon followed suit, with a presidential proclamation naming the second Monday in October as Indigenous Peoples' Day.

Celebrate Indigenous Peoples' Day by coming to museum or checking out our online resources, including a virtual visit to our cultural history exhibit Oregon—Where Past is Present and checking out our virtual collections galleries.
