We offer free admission every day for children 2 and under; MNCH members; UO students, faculty, staff*; and veterans and active-duty military* personnel.

Museums for All

We're a proud member of Museums for All, a national program offering reduced admission to Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) cardholders. Present your Oregon Trail or other EBT card and your admission is $1 per person or $5 per family (up to two adults and four children). 

Museums for All is an initiative of the Institute of Museum and Library Services.

Library passes

Enjoy free admission for two adults and up to four youths! We're proud to partner with local libraries to offer free family admission passes to the museum, available for checkout from the following libraries and branches:

Free First Fridays

We offer free admission on the first Friday of every month. Come enjoy a unique journey across Oregon's past, present, and futureon us! 

Tribal Members

The museum invites anyone who identifies as a Tribal member to visit the museum free of charge.


Active-duty military and veterans are admitted free year-round. From Armed Forces Day through Labor Day, military families (with ID) are also admitted for free through the Blue Star Museums program. 

UO Commencement

Congratulations, Duck graduates! On UO Commencement, the museum celebrates by offering free admission to grads, families, and everyone else.


Between mid-June and early September, 1PASS holders can visit the museum for free. Learn more here.

Indigenous Peoples Day

Smithsonian Magazine Museum Day Live 

Each year in September, our museum and other Smithsonian affiliates across the nation proudly join in this annual celebration of boundless curiosity. Enjoy free admission for two when you present a #MuseumDay ticket, available for download beginning in August at
